Silver Cloud – Guest Review

     From Skeptical to Satisfied over Memorial Day!

We love to share user reviews (and photos!) of their stays with us! Please read the following review and the BEAUTIFUL attached photo from Cory L. of Santa Monica:

     “My wife and I stayed on the Silver Cloud for the 2013 Memorial Day weekend this past May. We a were little apprehensive, and now we can say that it was absolutely the right choice. We were pleasantly surprised that there was plenty of room for the two of us. If there had been another couple (or possibly three people) things would have been a bit cramped, but it would have been o.k. as long as they were close friends and not high maintenance types.

     The amenities all work wonderfully, and morning coffee on the back deck is awesome. We had to tear ourselves away from the serenity of the scene. We never used the heat or A/C - just opening and closing the hatches allowed sufficient temperature control. The bathroom/locker rooms on shore were clean, and there are three showers with partitions and locking doors, no lines (in the men’s anyway). The fitness facility could use a little updating, but it was sufficient (the lone treadmill is very new/updated, though).

     We went to a concert and dinner at Humphrey's by the Bay which is about a five minute walk; also, the beer/sausages at Fathom are divine. Driving to Sea World is under 10 minutes, and La Jolla was 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. We are already planning another stay on another vessel. A great vacation for being active, or just relaxing and sunbathing.”

          It’s not too often that we recommend other businesses here on the blog. The reason is simple; Shaun is picky! No we’re only joking! We love to experience all that life has to offer. One of my (JP – the blog guy) favorite foods has to be Sushi. I grew up in the mid-west and when I came to California, I fell in love with Sushi. but enough about me!

         We are pleased to announce a partnership of sorts with Hapi Fish and its owner, Justin Masunaga. What is really special about Justin Masunaga’s dream and his business is his affiliation to Shelter Cove Marina – home of our very own Boat Bed and Breakfast! Justin lives on his boat at the Marina and wants to pass along a GREAT offer for members of the Marina Diner Card! So, anyone with a Marina Diner Card will receive a 20% off discount at his awesome and growing establishment in Encinitas (except during Hapi Hour).

       Okay – so you live way down in Imperial Beach. Why drive to Encinitas to eat Sushi? This place rocks, that is the simple answer. Also, Justin and his team (you have to see their nicknames and favorite dishes on the website) put together a great presentation of Sushi and Sashimi, as well as some cooked goods for those picky eaters in the family. Plus, enjoy one of the best North County coastal beach towns – Encinitas.

Thank You!

     We are VERY happy with the turnout to our Open House last night. First of all a huge thank you to Charlie from Firehouse subs for not only bringing and serving your delicious sandwiches, but for also being our designated wine and champagne server –you sir were a true hero last night! The wine flowed smoothly and was enjoyed by one and all.

     Second, a huge nod to our friends over at San Diego Comfort Cruise, your tours around the harbor and bay were very popular with our guests, and it seems that many took advantage of the cruises on that silent beauty of yours. The team at Ensign Yachts also had some great exposure, as well as the guys over at JP Marine getting some looks at their rugged hull inflatable on display.

    Finally, all the volunteers that helped setup and secure the event – without that team I am certain that the event would not have gone nearly as smooth. We appreciate all your help, insights, and ability to entertain guests on each of our boats. We will be posting
